A power float is a hand-operated or ride on machine used to produce a smooth, dense and level surface finish to concrete slabs. Power floating gives a smooth hard-wearing finish ideal for workshops, sheds and similar industrial areas. Before power floating the concrete must be left to partially set, having been levelled and tamped and floated to correct levels. We would recommend a mix design with a high cement content to improve work-ability and speed of set so the concrete can be power-floated in a relatively quick time.
